Inching Closer

The room assignments are up, and the Washington D.C trip is inching closer. Kids are swarming in the hallway to look for their room assignments. Boys and girl's eyes are frantically scanning the two sheets looking and hoping their names are next to their friends'. A couple of pushes and shoves later and students' eyes light up when they locate their names. However, they don't stand in front of the room chart long and until they are elbowed out of the way by another student waiting to experience the same joy.  Soon, they are calling down the hallways to their best friends with big smiles on their faces.  

The eighth grade students who are attending the D.C trip feel the anticipation. The many adventures and memories about to be created are calling our names. All we have to do now is wait - wait for an early Wedesday morning and a plane ride to Washington D.C.
