The Greatest Generation

As we casually visit the various war memorials on the National Mall, chatting away and taking selfies, it's very easy to forget what they really mean and for whom they stand. Luckily, we got a chance to some very impressive members of The Greatest Generation.

Students met several veterans of WWII, who have come to Washington as part of the Honor Flight program, and many of these men were very emotional seeing this memorial for the first time. It was an impressive sight. Our students applauded the group and shook several hands, expressing gratitude for their service.
